Honoring Vietnam Veterans

Frederick Health Hospice was the second of what is now 4 hospices in Maryland to become a community partner in the Vietnam War 50th Commemoration - a nationwide program designed to honor all veterans who served during the 20-year history of the Vietnam War. The partnership designation allows our Veteran Liaison to present an official proclamation certificate and Vietnam Veteran recognition pin to hospice veteran patients who served, regardless of location, during the Vietnam War era. 1 out of every 5 Frederick Health Hospice patients is a veteran with Vietnam era veteran comprising approximately 25% of those veterans. Sadly, that number is expected to grow and in a few years be the majority of our veteran patients.
