A Message from Hospice Board President, John Verbus
I hope this message finds the friends of Frederick Health Hospice settling well into the new year. On behalf of the Hospice Board, I have to deliver some news that has brought us a bit of sadness, but is also an opportunity to celebrate what we’ve achieved in our most recent chapter.
Our Executive Director, Carlos Graveran, has moved on from the organization as of February 8th. I speak for the whole Board when I say that we could not have made a better choice to lead Hospice over the past 8 and a half years. Carlos has been an invaluable member of our team, and has made significant contributions to our hospice program, as well as the system and community at large. He led tremendous growth in the program overall, built a team of talented and committed hospice professionals, developed new and innovative programs, fostered positive relationships in the community, and cultivated giving opportunities. Most recently, he paved the way for Frederick Health to expand our service into Montgomery County.
Many of us have had the pleasure of experiencing Carlos and his interaction with his team, and I can confidently say that his commitment to them, our patients, and the community has left a lasting impact on us all.
The Board, as always, is grateful for the community’s support, and we are reminded of how blessed we have been in our excellent staff members.
