Creative modalities can be particularly helpful in dealing with trauma, as there is often so much of the experience that feels “unspeakable.” Through artistic activities, survivors are able to explore and process their experience in a way that feels safe, thereby facilitating communication, healing, and post-traumatic growth. This one-day workshop will explore the use of collage as grief therapy. Participants will make several collages related to their grief and minimal support group style talk therapy will help to process the experience with other group members and grief counselors.
