Where Hospice is Offered

Hospice care is provided wherever the patients call home. Most often this is in the patient's home. We also provide care in assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, and our very own Kline Hospice House.

Hospice allows the patient to receive care in a familiar and comfortable setting.

More and more Americans are calling skilled nursing and assisted living facilities “home," when they choose hospice services.

The most important part of bringing hospice into the assisted living or skilled nursing facility environment is to complement the care a patient is already receiving, and to make every effort to assist and support the facility staff.

"What can we do for you today?" is always the first question we ask a hospice patient, and it’s the first question we ask a colleague in the skilled nursing or assisted living setting as well.

Frederick Health Hospice offers additional expertise in pain and symptom management, and access to enhanced patient benefits such as pharmaceuticals, and bereavement support for families.

Together, both entities combine forces to provide comprehensive care for patients and the entire family in a way that neither one could provide fully on its own.

Frederick Health Hospice feels privileged to provide expertise in end-of-life care to the patients we serve in skilled nursing facilities.

If you have a loved one in a facility and feel they could benefit from Frederick Health Hospice services, please contact us today.
