About Frederick Health Hospice

Frederick Health Hospice was founded in 1980 by a group of community volunteers who wished to offer compassionate support to terminally ill patients and their families, and to those who were grieving. Hospice is not about how you die, it is about how you live.

Over the years, the program has grown in size and scope, but our focus remains the same: to honor each person's journey through illness or grief with dignified care, compassionate support and gentle guidance.

Frederick Health Hospice is a non-profit organization and also a division of the Frederick Health Hospital that is Medicare-certified, licensed by the state of Maryland and accredited by the Joint Commission.

Frederick Health Hospice is a member of the Hospice and Palliative Care Network of Maryland, and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.
